The state’s largest open house kicks off this weekend. From noon to 5 p.m. today and Sunday, more than 180 new homes all over Wake County will be open for your perusal. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes or slip-ons. You must remove your shoes or wear shoe covers in each of the homes to gain entry. Parade books and maps can often be picked up at homes along the way. The Parade is free and continues from noon to 5 p.m. Oct. 8-10 and Oct. 15-17.
